Learn-to-Curl (For Age 16 – 60 years old)
Learn a new ice sport without having to ice skate. Curling is a team game that is about strategy and finesse. It does not require much physical exertion unlike other sports, which is suitable for 16 and above.
Lessons are conducted over four weekends of 45mins each on every Saturday. Every 10 students to 1 instructor.
- Ice Curling: 7.30pm to 8.15pm
Saturday | 7.30pm - 8.15pm
45-minute lesson + 15-minute practice after each class
Beginners will learn how to move on the ice with their sliders, how to get up from a fall and master the basic sliding delivery with both hands on the broom and rock. Learn the proper grip on a curling rock and the in-turn and out-turn release. Practice throwing rocks on the line of delivery and have a go at throwing draw shots and takeout shots.
Things to Note:
- Participants to arrive The Rink at 7pm for warm ups and briefing on the first lesson
- Participants to come in their own track shoes and long track pants
