Your ice skating learning journey starts here
Learn-to-Skate (LTS) Basic Core Blades is a great way for skaters to learn basic skating skills. From basic balancing to fun tricks like spinning, you will be skating like a pro in no time! Learn-to-Skate is made up of four basic ice skating levels.
Learn-to-Skate is suitable for adults and kids, aged 6-years old and above.
Group classes are split by age group, with the ratio being 10 students to 1 coach. Lessons are conducted over five weekends, on either every Saturday or every Sunday. Once you’ve selected the lesson day, no changes will be allowed.
- Core Blades Level 1 & 2: 9.45am to 10.15am
- Core Blades Level 3 & 4: 9.15am to 9.45am
For a more intensive course, the Holiday ice camp available during school holiday periods (March, June, September and December).
Saturday or Sunday Class
9.45am – 10.15am
For beginner skaters with little or no experience on the ice. Learn safety basics, how to fall and get up, and basic forward swizzles and skating with proper balance and posture.

For skaters with little experience on the ice and are able to skate forward properly. Skaters will begin to learn one-foot forward glides in a straight line, stops, turns, and backward swizzles and skating.
Saturday or Sunday Class
9.15am - 9.45am
For skaters with some experience on the ice, and are able to glide, stop, and skate backwards confidently. Learn the moving dip, two-foot backward glide, moving two-foot turns, one-foot glide on a curve, and forward single sculling.
Saturday or Sunday Class
9.15am - 9.45am
For skilled skaters. Learn forward chasses on a circle, forward crossovers, backwards one-foot glides, and backward single sculling.

30 minutes per lesson + 2 hours of practice immediately after the lesson.
Available for age 6 years and above. Fee inclusive of admission tickets and skate boots rental for all 5 lessons.

Terms and Conditions: All payments for Learn-to-Skate lessons must be made online at least 72 hours before the commencement of the lesson • All payments made are non-refundable • Change of session when course has commenced is not allowed • There will be no make-up lesson unless with valid medical certificate • All Learn-to-Skate students are entitled to one chargeable admission of $4 for one accompanying adult during lessons • Management reserves the right to cancel lessons without prior notice. ASSUMPTION OF RISKS: Ice skating and associated activities are classified as high risk sports. There are inherent and other risks involved in the sport of ice skating and injuries are a common occurrence of the sport. Skaters (including their guests and parents/ guardians) voluntarily participate in these activities with knowledge of the risks involved and agree to accept any and all responsibility for and risk of injury, demise, physical or mental illness, and harm, loss or damage to person or property (collectively, “Injury”) that may occasion from ice skating. Sport Singapore (formerly known as the Singapore Sports Council) and CapitaLand Retail Management Pte Ltd (as managing agent of The Rink) are not responsible for any Injury howsoever caused to any skater, customer or any other person present at The Rink (including any person below 6 years of age). All skaters, customers or any other person present at The Rink, JCube, remain solely responsible for their own safety at The Rink and shall comply with all safety rules and guidelines that may from time to time be applicable. -
